NO-COURT DIVORCE MEDIATION PROCESS: How does it work? My process takes one day or less.
If you and your spouse have decided to "leave the lawyers out of it," and want to get divorced (or establish custody
for those who are not married but have children) I have developed a process for you. It takes one day, but in that day,
you will have completed (with my help and my own streamlined forms) every single piece of paper needed for the Judge
to sign a Final Judgment for you.
You won't have to set foot in any Courtroom and will receive copies of all of your filed documents and the Final Judgment in your email.
Is this too good to be true? No, actually it is a lot of work, you must come to my facility, it will take the whole (entire) day, and when we are finished, you are going to be very tired.
THE PROCESS: You and your spouse/co-parent come to my executive suites building. We will abide by social distancing, by the way. As you can see by these pictures, I have more than enough space.
You will sign a written acknowledgment prior to proceeding. To see that agreement, click here:
I will mediate, facilitate, and with the participation of both of you, together, the three of us will draft your settlement agreement in addition to your other mandatory pleadings.
Once completed, (with you watching, E-Filing is interesting) I will electronically file your documents with the Clerk of Courts. Prior to leaving, you will have full copies in hand and in your email, too.
If you have children, you will be required to take the parenting class. You are permitted to take it online and may do so prior to the mediation, or after, whatever's easier. Just know that we can't get a Final Judgment until there is a certificate on file for both parents. The cost for the parenting class is in between 20 and 50 dollars. If you search the internet for "mandatory Florida Divorce class," a bunch will pop up and they are all mostly the same.
You will pay the parenting class fee directly to the class you choose to take.
And that's it. We will spend the day together and once completed, you don't have to think about the process ever again, it is finished.
TOTAL COST FOR THIS PROCESS: The total cost is $2,000, and this includes the Clerk's filing fee. (Usually $400-$450 depending on the processing fees the Clerk and Portal charge.)
In most cases, each spouse brings one thousand dollars so it is split equally, and this is the only fee that is required.
If you and your spouse/co-parent are considering using my streamlined process, give me a call and get scheduled today.
